This prestigious event to finish the year in Berlin will be realized in a known gallery situated in a traditional area of the city. A place frequented by known people as Günter Grass , Rosa Luxemburg and Marlene Dietrich , who selected this area to work and live.
We are selecting about 10 artists for this event (all media) and wish to accentuate the innovative and professional characteristics of the works.
As the artists are going to be of different continents, using different media ( painting, photography, video) we expect a conjunction of works characterized by the unification of differences.

Wir freuen uns, unter dem Titel “Colour In A Cup Of Tea” erstmals Arbeiten der dänischen Künstlerinnen Anne Marie Ploug und Linda Bjørnskov in Berlin präsentieren zu können. Beide haben die Königlich Dänische Akademie der Schönen Künste in Kopenhagen in den Bereichen Malerei und Graphik absolviert. Der Ausstellungstitel „Colour In A Cup Of Tea“ verweist auf gemeinsame formale Aspekte hinsichtlich der Farbtheorie und Farbgebung. Beide Künstlerinnen fühlen sich darin der der Pop Art verbunden. Die Ausstellung geht zurück auf Linda Bjørnskovs Malerei-Projekt „Shakespeare In The Bush“ sowie auf Plougs Graphik-Projekt „Blueprint“. „Shakespeare In The Bush“ wird in der Galerie Vierraumladen fünf großformatige neue Arbeiten umfassen, die sich auf Überlegungen der amerikanischen Kulturanthropologin Laura Bohannans (1922 – 2009) beziehen, worin diese die Wirkung von Shakespeares Hamlet auf die Tiv-Kultur in Nigeria in den frühen 60er Jahren reflektierte. Die Bilder handeln von der Einzigartigkeit der Literatur, der Tiv-Kultur sowie der Rolle der Anthropologen in den 60er Jahren. „Blueprint“ umfasst 15 Holzschnitte. Motivisch geht es um Treppen, den symbolischen Übergang zwischen zwei Phasen. Gezeigt werden die Einzelschritte vom Entwurf bis zum endgültigen Druck (NPP). Die Arbeiten sind durchgängig in Blau gehalten. „Blueprint“ bezeichnet also zugleich den Workflow wie das Werk selbst.
The two Danish artists, who live in Copenhagen, Anne Marie Ploug and Linda Bjørnskov exhibit under the collective title COLOUR IN A CUP OF TEA at Gallery Vierraumladen

Both artists graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, and works with painting and graphics. The title COLOUR IN A CUP OF TEA refers to the formal in the exhibited artworks, color theory, brightly colors and pop art, that both visual artists feel connected to. The exhibition will consist of Bjørnskov's painting project titled 'Shakespeare in the Bush" and Ploug's graphic project titled ' Blueprint '. 'Shakespeare in the Bush' consists of five large new paintings, which analyze the American cultural anthropologist Laura Bohannans (1922-2002) description of the meeting between her story of Hamlet and the ethnic Tiv tribe in Nigeria in the early 1960s. The paintings deal with the uniqueness of the literature, Tiv tribe and the anthropologist's role in the 1960s. 'Blueprint' is a project consisting of 15 woodcuts. The motifs are 'stairs', as a symbol of the portal between the two phases. Both wood panels are pressed from (sketchs) and the final pressure (NPP) exhibited side by side. The works, printed in permanent blue and titled 'Blueprint', thus describe both the workflow and the work itself.
